Employment Solicitors | 1–5 PQE | Growing Team
An established mid-tier law firm is looking to appoint two Employment Solicitors as it continues to grow its employment practice.
With opportunities available at both junior and intermediate level, these roles would suit lawyers with approximately 1–5 years’ PQE who are looking to build strong specialist employment law experience within a supportive and well-regarded team.
The Role:
You will work across a broad range of employment matters, gaining exposure to both advisory and contentious work. Depending on your level of experience, your work will include:

- Legal research and opinion writing
- Advising on employment investigations
- Restructuring and redundancy processes
- Misconduct and performance matters
- Reviewing and drafting employment agreements and workplace policies
- Assisting with mediations and dispute resolution
- Exposure to Employment Relations Authority and Court proceedings
- Preparing matters for hearings and assisting with case strategy
The requirements:
- Approximately 1–5 years’ PQE, with experience in employment law
- New Zealand private practice experience
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A commercial and practical approach to providing advice
- Strong attention to detail
- The confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues
- A collaborative approach and genuine desire to continue developing your expertise
