Meet Louise Hall-Strutt, Your Founder & Director

​I am Louise Hall-Strutt, Altitude Recruitment Owner and Director. Originally from the UK, I moved to New Zealand 7 years ago in search of a better work/life balance.  I now live in Kingsland, Auckland with my Partner and three-year-old daughter.  I love travelling around New Zealand, and globally, when permitted. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, professional development, music and exercise.

I spent 10 years working in the fast-paced fashion industry in London, before moving into advertising in Auckland and finding my way into my passion that is recruitment.  I take the time to fully understand my clients and candidate’s needs, goals and aspirations so I can match them to make a perfect fit that ensures success and longevity for everyone.  I enjoy providing advice and imparting market and industry knowledge to both clients and candidates and developing long term relationships, far beyond the transactional placement. 

I have five years recruitment experience in New Zealand having worked for a large global agency and a mid-size kiwi owned National agency.  I specialise in recruiting in the legal space, placing candidates of all levels, with a range of top tier, mid-tier and boutique firms as well as in house opportunities.   

I understand people and they are at the core of everything I do.  My recruitment approach and understanding of candidates and clients needs has made my skills very diverse and transferrable and I have also placed candidates in accounting and finance, risk and compliance, insurance, HR and business support roles across New Zealand.   I am used to working in a predominantly passive market and understand the need for confidentiality, I live by my values of compassion, integrity and honesty.
